1. You can know that you are on your way to heaven.

 Could you say that you are 100 percent sure that you have a home in heaven today? The Bible says you can know in I John 5:13. It says, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

2. We have all sinned.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Rom. 3:23. God's Word reminds us that we all have sinned. We have fallen short of God's requirements, for at one time or another, we have all deliberately chosen to disobey God.

3. There is a penalty to be paid for sin.

 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Rom. 6:23. A wage s a payment. The payment for your sin is death and separation from God in a place that the Bible calls Hell. "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Rev. 20:14,15

4. Jesus Paid the price for sin.

 "But God commendeth is love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Rom. 5:8 The word "commendeth" means "proved." God proved His love for you by giving His own Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for your sins.

5. We must believe on Jesus.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Rom. 10:9-10,13 To believe on Jesus Christ as your Saviour means to believe that He died for you, believe that He paid the price for your sin, and believe that He is the only way to Heaven. Trying to be a good person will not get you to heaven for the Bible says in Titus 3:5, " Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us," You must believe on Jesus Christ alone as your Saviour. You can express your belief on Jesus by calling on Him in prayer.

6. Pray sincerely...

"Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you died on the cross and paid the penalty for my sin. I believe that you rose from the dead three days later. I am placing my faith in you alone to forgive my sin and save me. Thankyou for giving me eternal life. In Jesus' name, Amen."
